butcher, baker, greeting card maker

One of my farm goals was to learn how to put up the good spring and summer stuff to stave off the bland boredom of the barren winter months- you can’t get good tomatoes in January, not even in California. Pictured: crabapples from friend Maria’s trees, and the crabapple rhubarb preserves that were the end result of hours, and I mean hours, of sticky juicing and boiling. Worth it.
