butcher, baker, greeting card maker

While it may seem like all my creating happens at work these days (and most of it does-sadly, since starting my work at the restaurant, my desire to go home and keep making food has plummeted) I still do some good old home cookin’.

Tim is off on a European holiday, but before he left I made him a bon voyage dinner of pizza and salad. Classic. With the addition of the fancy balsamic and olive oil I got for Christmas, some arugula and a few tomatoes became a zesty, tasty accompaniment to an arrabiattacaramelizedonionsundriedtomatospinachandpepperoni ‘za (square, since my pizza stone still lives in New Jersey.)

Add a few glasses of red wine, and you get what might be the most satisfying meal ever.
