Today I am gardening, mixing bread dough, making chicken stock, reading, and constructing sandwiches- a pretty typical day on the farm, where my entire life, it seems, revolves around growing and cooking my next meal. I’m loving the experience of digging around in the dirt for something and then putting it in my mouth after a quick rub on my shirt or rinse under the hose. If I can wait long enough to get things in a frying pan or in the oven, things are just that much better. I’m going to start posting some of my food in before and after stages - it’s fun to see/know exactly where pretty much all my ingredients are coming from.
